I have been teaching private lessons for over 25 years. I have had the great fortune of working with artists like REO Speedwagon and Carl Graves from Oingo Boingo to Broadway stars. I’ve worked with award-winning actors and directors, like Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Brie Larson, and Davie Koepp. And I’ve had the even greater luck to study with some of the best teachers in the country, like Karen Tobey, Kristen Linklater, Richard Lewes, Bobbi Shaw, and more. But, for me, teaching has never been about the resumes. For me, it’s about the connection I make with my students and the powerful, confident force I help them become when they are singing well with the right technique and their own heart’s passion.
Over the last 30 years, I have learned not only what it takes to be a great singer, what it takes to bring that talent to the stage, and how to break down the skills and expectations so that it’s fun and accessible for children of all ages, but I have found a way to combine teaching in mind, body, and heart in order to help my students become a more full, confident, independent, and expert singers!
